About Cookaborough for older Australians
We often hear from Australians receiving aged care support who have referral codes and want to know if they can use them to order meals through Cookaborough.
Referral codes are a feature of the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP).
Unfortunately, Cookaborough cannot accept CHSP referral codes, and we’re unable to support customers who haven’t yet finalised their Support at Home (previously Home Care Package) funding approval.
At this time, we can only support customers who are approved under Support at Home and have appointed a Care Provider to manage their package.
Understanding the Difference Between the Commonwealth Home Support Program and Support at Home
Navigating government-subsidised aged care support programs can be confusing, especially when it comes to understanding the difference between the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and Support at Home (SaH).
Both programs help older Australians live independently at home, but they differ in the level of support and funding provided.
Refer to the table below for a comparison between CHSP and SaH.
Eligibility for rebated meals through Cookaborough
Cookaborough currently supports customers who are approved under Support at Home by facilitating rebated meals from local food businesses. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept CHSP referral codes at this time.
If you are approved under Support at Home and want to use your funding towards nutritious, locally made meals, we’re here to help.
Once your package is finalised and your Care Provider is appointed, you can apply to access rebated meals HERE.
Alternatively, you can speak with your Care Provider for a referral, or contact us directly on 1300 302 665.
